Andrew "Butch" Vargo 59 of Marianna died Thursday August 4, 2011 in the Donnell House. He was born on November 27,1951 in Washington a son of Andy R and Helen Nicholas Vargo. He was a graduate of Bethlehem Center High School. He then worked at Beth Energy Mines #58 of Marianna for 19 years until 1988 and then as a Transportation Construction Inspector for TS Consultants in the Washington and Greene County Areas where he was currently employed. Mr. Vargo was a member of Sts Mary and Ann Roman Catholic Church St Oliver Plunkett Parish, Marianna Field and Stream Club and the Marianna Lyceum where he previously served as president for 10 years. Mr Vargo loved to hunt. On September 28 1974 he married Vaun Roule who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife of 37 years are 2 daughters Jennifer (Adam) Iddings of Marianna, Andrea Vargo of Marianna, a sister Carolyn Faieta of Vestaburg, grandson Spencer Iddings, granddaughter Samantha Iddings, nephew Scott (Sue) Faieta, Sal and Gino Faietta, and Brittany Cole. Friends will be received Saturday from 6-8 and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 Main Street Marianna PA 15345 where funeral services will be held on Monday August 8,2011 at 11:00 am with Father Paul Grunebach officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Amedisys Hospice 2215 Hill Church Houston Rd. Canonsburg PA.
