Anthony "Tony" Patrick Chaildin 102 of Marianna died Monday February 28, 2022 in his home.  He was born in West Virginia on October 17, 1919 a son of the late Michael and Mary Chaildin. He worked in Marianna Mine 58 for almost 50 years, starting when he was 16 years old and retiring in 1984 as a Fire Boss.  He was a member of former Sts Mary & Ann Roman Catholic Church St. Oliver Plunkett Parish in Marianna.  He was a proud volunteer for Meals on Wheels with the Bethlehem Center Senior Center, where he was honored with Volunteer of the Year in 2002.  He was also a former member of Marianna Volunteer Fire Department  where he served as Secretary.   On November 26, 1966    he married Mary Louise Chaildin with whom he shared  almost 30  years of marriage before her passing in 1995.  He is survived by a daughter Jennie Mary Chaildin (Samuel Orlandi), six grandchildren Derek Hermann, Andrew Hermann, Chelsey Hermann, James Conti, Alexandra Orlandi, and Joshua Orlandi, three great grandchildren Dannielle Lynn Hermann, Adee Pratt, and Parker Pratt.  Deceased in addition to his wife and parents are 7 siblings Anne, Stella, Helen, Margaret "Peggy", Joseph, John and George.  Services will be private and handled by Nichol Funeral Home Washington-Marianna PA.  An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial donations be made to Washington City Mission.
