Arthur L. Randall Sr 83 of Washington died Saturday March 19 2011 in the Donnell House after battling poor health for the last several years He was born in Washington on march 22, 1927 a son of the late William E. and Gladys Arbuckle Randall. He attended the old Manifold School, Laboratory Elementary School, and Trinity High School before enlisting in the US Navy where he proudly served during World War II from February 1945 until August 1946. He worked at the Ontario Mine as a tipple laborer for 10 years, as a salesman for Sears and Montgomery Ward before founding Randall Heating and Plumbing Inc in 1970. He enjoyed helping his customers and many of them became lifelong friends who still asked for his advice after retirement. He was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church, the Rotary Club, American Legion Post 175 of Washington, the Homebuilders Association, the Washington Area Senior citizens center. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and spending time and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. On April 19, 1947 in Winchester Virginia he married Alice Mae Pettit who survives. Together they raised four children; Arthur L. "Lee" (Debbie) Randall of Washington, Bruce A. (Diana) Randallof Washington Richard J. (Cindy) Randall of Washington and Cheri J. Randall (Barry Henry) of Eighty Four, 6 grandchildren Scott (Janet) Randall, Michael Randall, Joe "Ace" Randall, Tony Randall, Stacey (Merritt) Randall Pegram and Elizabeth "Liz" Randall 10 great grandchildren Emily, Stephen, Owen, Alaina Randall, Logan, Marah, Riley Pegram, Lauren Randall, Jacob and Izabella Randall as well as 2 sisters Vilagrace Piendl of Heath Ohio, and Florence Harrington of Washington. Deceased in addition to his parents are brothers William J Randall, Floyd E. Randall, Brian A. Randall 2 infant brothers, and a grandson Eric Glenn Randall Family and friends will be receivedon Sunday from 7-9p.m. Monday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington where funeral services will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2011. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. IN lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Love Fund of Laboratory Presbyterian Church or to Hospice of Washington Hospital.
