Betty Jean Juracko 83 of Washington died Sunday September 21 2025 in Presbyterian Senior Care Southmont.   She was born May 21, 1942 in Washington, daughter of Mike and Mary Scalia Barshick. Betty was a 1960 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School and then went on to earn her nursing degree from Washington Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked as a nurse for many years until her retirement in 2004.   She was a member of St James Parish Immaculate Conception Church.

On May 13, 1967 she married John Juracko with whom she has shared 58 years of marriage.   Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter Mary Beth Kujan (Russel) of Baltimore, son John A. Juracko (Heather Smith) of Marianna, two grandchildren Aiden Kujan and Penelope Kujan, sister Nancy Barshick, sister-in-law Patricia Barshick, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to her parents is a brother Ronald Barshick.
