Beverly F. Briggs, 81 of Washington died Monday October 21, 2024 in UPMC Presbyterian.  She was born in Finleyville on June 24, 1943, a daughter of the late Stanley George and Bernice Eleanor Lawrence Himes.  Beverly worked at Washington Hospital as a housekeeper before marrying Richard E. Briggs with whom she shared many years of marriage before his passing on February 19, 2021. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her dog Cocoa, and grandson.  She is survived by a daughter Billie Von (Goerge) Spencer, Grandson Matthew Spencer,  and a sister Stanlea "Stush" Dillie (Curtis). Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a son Stanley George "Buddy" Swanson and a sister Sandy Hess.   A committal service will be held on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 11:00a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
