Boyd M. McCoy 85 of Washington died Monday December 12, 2011 in the Washington County Health Center. He was born on July 15, 1926 in Washington, PA a son of Frank C. McCoy and Edith Sowers McCoy Rasel. He attended West Bethlehem Schools. And worked as a glassworker for hazel Atlas Continental Brockway Glass for many years. Mr. McCoy served in World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 175 of Washington for over 50 years and also of V.F.W.#927 for over 50 years. On July 24, 1950 in Winchester, VA he married Margaret B. Bird who survives Surviving in addition to his wife of 61 years a sister Ruth Kelley of Washington, 3 brothers Frank C. McCoy, Duane Rasel, Charles James Rasel all of Washington. Deceased in addition to his parents is an infant sister Margaret Rasel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday December 15, 2011 at 11:00a.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
