Britney Lee Matson 15 of Washington died Friday December 2, 2011 in Children's Hospital Pittsburgh. She was born in Washington on March 12, 1996, a daughter of Brenda Lee Hovanis and William James Matson. She was enrolled in cyber school and was previoiusly a student of Trinity Area Schools She attended Mt. Herman Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing TWIST softball, basketball at Washington Church of Christ and both soccer and basketball at the brownson house. She liked dolphins and Siberian huskies. She is survived by her father William J. and wife Bonnie Jo Matson of Washington, mother Brenda Lee Hovanis of Bentleyville, brother Derek Ryan Matson, half sister Christine Lynn Matson, stepsister Cheyanne Nicole Whipkey, grandmothers Darlene Coyle Bohmer and Virginia Six, Uncle John Soroka, Aunts Carol(John) Chiado, Pam(Timmy)Rose, Debbie Soroka, as well as many cousins. Deceased are paternal grandparents William and Alice Matson, maternal grandfather Don Bohmer. Friends will be received in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. and Monday December 5, 2011 from noon to 1:00p.m. the time of service with Pastor Dave Decker officiating.
