Charles Herman Garner, Jr., 80, of Washington, died August 15, 2017 in his home. He was born April 17, 1937 in Washington, the son of Charles H. Garner and Marion Bebout Garner. He attended Dahggs School. Mr. Garner worked as a delivery driver for Veltri Trucking. On July 9, 1955 he married Virginia Thomas Garner in Levittown, PA. They were married for 62 years. He was a member of the Salvation Army, Washington and was a Volunteer Chaplin. He also was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran - Dartball, VFW 927 and the Arden Club. Surviving are six children, Daniel D. (Jean Johnson) Garner, Kim W. (John) Ondrick, Charles H. Garner III, Blodwyn Jean (Edward D.) Carney Sr., Joseph D. Garner and Robert L. (Tina) Garner, a brother John Garner and sister Peggy Garner, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother Robert Garner and sister Marion Garner. Services will be private and handled by the Nichol Funeral Home, Wshington, PA.
