Charles "Charlie" Ross Lazear, 80, passed away Tuesday January 28th, 2025 in the comfort of his Marianna home with his family by his side. Charles was born on November 14th, 1944 in Steubenville, Ohio to Lawrence and Helen Lazear. After graduating from McGuffey High School he went on to join the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served as a Private (E-1). He loved to farm and enjoyed taking care of dairy cattle. Charles married Deborah "Debbie" Flynn on July 25th, 1970. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deborah Lazear; three children, Charles "Bill" Lazear, Lisa Gongaware, and Michelle (Howard) Miller; two grandsons Kenneth Lazear (Makayla), and Matthew Burrows; four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Augustina, Adalynn, and Greyson, as well as two nephews Howard "Howdy" (Lori) Cummins and Tony Cummins. Charles was proceeded in death by his brother Dean (Sue) Lazear and his sister Elizabeth "Betty" (Howard) Cummins. He will be remembered for his passion for Holstein dairy cattle, his dedicated work ethic, and his strong-willed mind. Family and friends will be received Monday February 3, 2025 from 10:30A.M.-12:30A.M. the time of funeral services. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville at 2:00P.M.
