Charlotte Allison 89 of Washington died Friday may 13, 2011 in the Washington County Health Center. She was born as the only child of the late Claude L. and Nevada Lichtenstine Snyder on October 5, 1921 in New castle. She was a 1939 graduate of New Castle High School. She worked as a telephone operator and secretary for Bell Telephone in New Castle as well as a Bank Teller for Peoples Bank in new Castle. On September 6, 1947 she married William C. Allison who died March 20, 1992. Mrs. Allison previously attended Calvary Baptist Church of Washington, and was a member of Reformed Presbyterian Church of New Castle. She was an avid gardener, past member and past corresponding secretary of the Martha Washington Garden Club, liked shopping and writing poetry. Mrs. Allison is survived by her only daughter Lyn A.(Stephen) Morgan of Washington, a granddaughter Allison K. (Dave) Hillberry of Sycamore, 3 great grandsons Cody Tyler, Collin William, and Colton Braden Hillberry all of Sycamore, as well as cousins Greg, Jenny, and Keith Woodruff of Clariton. At the request of the deceased there will be no services or public visitation. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery.
