Christina A. Armstrong 86 of Washington died Friday May 22, 2015 in Washington Health Systems. She was born on June 4, 1928 in Dunbar, a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Coakley Hartley. She attended Granville schools. On June 5, 1945 she married the late Carl E. Armstrong Sr, who died on April 29, 2004. Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker who enjoyed playing BINGO. She is survived by seven children Carol L. Binns (Ron), James W. Armstrong, Carl E. Armstrong Jr. (Linda), Kathy J. Armstrong, Sandra K. Ramsey (Mark), Rick Armstrong(Ruthie), and Brenda Shearer(Jeff), daughter-in-laws Debbie Armstrong and Sharon Armstrong, a brother Thomas Hartley (Louise), three sisters Shirley Harris (Edgar), Ethel Brodak, Frances Volcheck, sixteen grandchildren Rhonda Bowles, Brian Binns, Christina McGlumphy, Wesley Armstrong, Wendi Yantek, Angela Armstrong, Jennifer Armstrong, Kelly Stevens, Eric Armstrong, Fred Armstrong Jr., Dale Armstrong, Chad Armstrong, Austin Ramsey, Matthew Armstrong, Ryan Armstrong, and Chloe Shearer, twenty-three great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband of 59 years and parents are two sons Jack Armstrong and Fred Armstrong. Family and friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, PA 15301 where funeral services will be held on Thursday May 28, 2015 at 12:00p.m. with Rev.
