Clifford M. Tustin Jr. 87 of Washington died Monday April 14, 2014 in UPMC Presbyterian following a brief illness. He was born in Gretna on August 9, 1926 a son of the late Clifford M.Sr. and Bessie L. Pangle Tustin. He was a 1944 graduate of Hickory High School. He then went on to serve in the United States Air Force. Mr. Tustin was a member of American legion Post 175 of Washington, as well as the north Ten Mile Veterans Association. He worked as a carpenter for many years building horse vans. He was a member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church. He also belonged to labor temple and was a past member of South Strabane Township Parks and Recreation Board. He loved to watch football, especially the Steelers, and also enjoyed watching the Pirates, but above all he loved spending time with his family. In September 1974 he married Ruth Reese Tustin with whom he has shared 40 years of marriage with. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children Joyce (Gerald) Hay, Sherry Moninger, and Frank(Iona) Tustin, two brothers James and John Tustin, nine grandchildren Justin(Ashley) Moninger, Nathan Tustin, Megan Tustin, Brayden Tustin, Marcie Unrue, Jerry (Betsy) Hay, Joseph(Bonnie) Unrue, Stephanie Tustin, and Jeffrey Tustin, many great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are his first wife Mary J. Moore Tustin, a son Howard Tustin, and brother Wayne Tustin. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, PA 15301. Additional visitation will be held Friday April 18, 2014 from 10-11a.m. the time of service in the North Ten Mile Baptist Church 322 Ridge Church Road Amity, PA 15311.
