David W. Crispin 72 of Chartiers Township died Sunday September 9,2012 in Kindred Hospital. He was born on December 31, 1939 in Lone Pine, a son of William and Etta Mildred "Millie" Bell Crispin. He attended and graduated from West Bethlehem schools. After High School he served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Alex Paris Contracting for many years until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Chartiers Crossroads Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee and played on the dartball team. Mr. Crispin was also a member of the steel workers union, enjoyed bowling, reading, and spending time with his family. On August 9, 1975 he married Patty McAfoos Crispin with whom he shared 37 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to his wife are 4 children Patrick T. Crispin, David A. Crispin, Todd M. (Valerie) Crispin, Danielle N. (Josh) Barker, 5 grandchildren Anthony Crispin, Noah Barker, Avery Barker, Logan Crispin, Delaney Crispin, a sister Audrey Pinkney, as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased are a sister Mary Lou McCoy and a brother William L. Crispin.Family and friends will be received in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington on Wednesday September 12, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 10-11a.m. in Chartiers Crossroads Presbyterian Church where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Scott Bunting officiating. Interment will follow in Forest lawn Gardens, McMurray. Military Rites will be accorded by the United States Marine Corps.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Chartiers Crossroads Presbyterian Church 502 Old Hickory Ridge Rd.
