David L. "Hoot" Gibson 59 of Scenery Hill died Sunday May 22, 2011 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Washington on March 25, 1952 a son of the late Ralph Gibson and Marjorie Wotherspoon Gibson. He was a graduate of Bethlehem center High School and worked as a coalminer for 84 mining until his retirement in 2009. David was a fisherman, loved spending time with his grandchildren and helping his stepson at Barker Auto repair in Eighty Four. He is survived by his wife of 16 years Jackie Fonner Gibson of Scenery Hill, stepson Joshua (Danielle) Barker, grandchildren Noah and Avery Barker. A memorial service will be held at Scenery Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday May 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Scenery Hill United Methodist Church 2234 East National Pike, scenery Hill, PA 15360.
