Obituary
David A. Lawry, 59 of Marianna died Saturday January 23, 2016 in the Washington Hospital, He was born in Homestead on November 16, 1956, a son of James White Lawry of Houston,PA and the late Isabell Jean Gray Lawry. He was a 1974 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School.
Mr. Lawry worked for iron worker # 3 until his retirement in 2006.
He was a member of American Legion Post 744 honor guard, Marianna Lyceum, enjoyed woodworking and carpentry, as well as coaching baseball. He shared 40 years of marriage with his wife Nancy Greenawalt Lawry, whom he married on February 14, 1975.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children Dawn (Christian) McDaniel of Marianna, David A. Lawry Jr. (Christy) of Amity, a sister Diana Hughes of Washington,
two brothers James Lawry Jr, of Pensacola, Florida, Richard Lawry of Amity, five grandchildren Isabella Lawry, Abigail McDaniel, Easton McDaniel, Kayla Lawry, Kyleigh (Screwball) McDaniel, a great grandchild Marshall Dames, and two step grandchildren Haylee Dames and Hunter Berry.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 Main Street, Marianna, PA 15345 where funeral services will be held on Thursday January 28, 2016 at11:00a.m. with Pastor James Lewis officiating.
Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery
