Donna Carpenter 87 of Washington, formerly of Amity died November 19, 2023 in the Greenery.  She was born March 29, 1945 in Washington, daughter of the late Clyde and Virginia Andrews Wood.  She was a graduate of Trinity High School, where after graduation she worked in the cafeteria.   Donna then went to work as a CNA for Kade's nursing home and then Presbyterian Senior Care from where she retired after 30 years.   On July 10, 1964 she married Blair J. Carpenter with whom she spent 46 years of marriage before his passing in January 2011.  She is survived by son Blair J. II and wife Tammy Carpenter, grandchildren Jessica Carpenter, Kimberly Handcock, and Kathleen Handcock, great grandchildren Joel, Julius, Elise, Heavenle, Edward, Brittany, Samuel, Kamron, Zytaevious, A'Miracle, and Giovanni, as well as three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are son William "Billy" Carpenter, and sister Joyce Carpenter.  Family and friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, PA 15301 where funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 28, 2023.  An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com.
