Donna Marie Deems 48 of Marianna died Tuesday August 9, 2011 in her home. She was born June 5, 1963 in McKeesport; a daughter of the late Donald Deems Sr. and Edith Shirley Gosney Deems. She was a 1981 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School and a 1999 graduate of computer Tech in Pittsburgh. She worked as a CNA in the Greenry of Canonsburg and then where she was currently employed for the last 11 years as an ER Technician for Jefferson regional Medical Center. Ms. Deems proudly served in the United States Navy during the Gulf War on the USS Frank Cable where she received two meritorious unit commendations, three navy battle "E" ribbons, sea service deployment ribbon, national defense service medal and humanitarian service medal. She was a previous member of American legion Post 391 of Fredericktown, current member of the miners club in Richeyville, loved to camp, enjoyed concerts, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, and Penguins fans, and above all enjoyed spending time with her son, grandson, nieces, nephews, and fiancé Gregg. She is survived by her fiancé Gregg Hilverding, son Edward James Deems Jr. (Melissa Brown), 7 brothers; John Myers of Clairton, George (Cindy) Myers of Elizabeth, Dale(Melissa) Myers of Los Cruzes, New Mexico, Bill Myers of Brownsville, Wayne (Bunny) Myers of Clarksville, Donald Deems Jr of California, Darin Deems of Marianna, a grandson Shawn Joseph Deems, nieces and nephews; Michelle Presutti, Mark Myers, Allen Myers, Dawn Marie Deems, Donald Deems III, Christine Renee Deems, Matthew Darin Deems, Anthony Darin Deems.
