Edna Margaret Johnson, 91, of Washington died Saturday March 17, 2018 in the Presbyterian Senior Care Southmont, Washington, PA.
She was born July 13, 1926 in Eighty Four, Pa formerly known as Vanceville, a daughter of the late Roy J. and Corinne Riddle Rankin. She attended Trinity Area School District and graduated in 1944. She was employed at the Washington County Conservation Office, Harper Feed Mill, and also G C Murphy's in Washington. She later co owned Johnson's Amoco Service Station in Laboratory with her husband for several years until 1986. She was a long time member of the Lone Pine Christian Church and also a member of Redd's Run Homemakers Club. On July 28, 1946 she married Leeman H. Johnson, who died December 30, 2011. She is survived by one son, Richard Howard (Debbie) Johnson of Goldfield, Nevada and a daughter in law, Maureen Johnson of Washington. One brother, Joseph A. (Shirley) Rankin of Washington, Four Grandchildren, Tina (Eddie) Bainer, Dr. Kent (Teresa) Johnson, Katie (Matt) Krocsko and Kelly (Josh) Conner all of Washington. Thirteen Great grandchildren; Michael and Jonathan Krocsko, Taylor, Morgan, Kyle, and Tyler Bainer, Brianna, Isabella, and Nicholas Johnson, Aaron, Levi, Chloe, and Colt Conner and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sons, William Roy Johnson, and Robert Leeman Johnson, One sister Louise Walden, and one brother and two sisters who died in infancy.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, PA where funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 21, 2018 with the reverend John Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
