Edward J. Jestat 77 of Marianna, died Tuesday March 22, 2011 in Washington Hospital. He was born in Marianna on July 24, 1933 a son of the late Edward and Anna Geer Jestat. Mr. Jestat was a 1951 graduate of West Beth High School. He worked as a coalminer for 38 years in Marianna Mine #58. He was a member of Sts Mary and Ann Roman Catholic Church st Oliver Plunkett parish. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling and loved vacation. On January 18, 1956 He married Shirley A. Leonard who died August 19, 2003. He is survived by 3 sons Edward M. Jestat of Aliquippa, Tony J. Jestat of Marianna, Michael S. Jestat of Michigan, a daughter Darla A. Durko of Marianna, 6 granddaughters Danielle Durko, Shelby Jestat, Michaela Jestat, Brianna Jestat, Ashley Jestat, and Erica Jestat Garrison. Deceased in addition to his wife of 47 years and his parents are a sister Joanne Friend. Friends will be received Thursday from 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 main street Marianna, Pa 15345. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
