Eli G. "Bud" Moore, Jr., of Marianna, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

He was born in Marianna on October 20, 1931, to the late Cora Evelyn Ames Moore and Eli Gordon Moore, Sr.

He attended West Bethlehem Township Schools. He served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Moore worked as a coalminer and motor mechanic at Beth Energy Mine #58 in Marianna for 36 years and was also a custodian at Beth-Center High School for six years. On February 5, 1955 he married Elizabeth Moore, who died September 4, 2014.

He was a member of the Marianna United Methodist and served as their custodian. He and his late wife also ran the food pantry for 25 years at the church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 744 in Marianna, was a UMWA member for 50 years and played on the church's dartball league.

Eli is survived by two daughters Sherie Moore (Walter) Gossett and Lily Moore (Dean) Howard, one son Alex G. (Nancy) Moore; a sister JoAnn Kubichar and a brother William "Bill" Moore; Five grandchildren Ray (Leslie) Gossett. Desiree (Justin) Gamel, Ryan (Valerie) Howard, Jeremy (Trish) Howard , Holly (Brian) Boggs; six great grandchildren Mary Gossett, Daniel Gamel, Mitchell Gamel, Sierra Howard, Cameran Howard and Asher Boggs.

Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are three sisters Evelyn Huggins, Ruth Ross and Esther Bates.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 P.M. and 6 – 8 PM Sunday, April 29, 2018 in the Nichol Funeral Home,1728 Main Street Marianna, PA where Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Ray Gossett and Rev. Dr. Gary Schneider.
