Evelyn G. (Mason) Day , 92 of Washington, PA died Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Evergreen Personal Care Home. She was born on July 22, 1923 in Greene County, PA, a daughter of Joseph Mason and Marjorie Phillips Mason. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed raising flowers. She was a member of Faith United Presbyterian Church in Washington, PA. On July 24, 1950, she married William O. Day with whom she shared 40 years of marriage, before his death in 1990. She is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (James) Verderber, two sons William W. (Marlene) Day, and Larry L. (Eleanor) Day, all of Washington, PA. She has one grandson, William J. (BJ) (Cassy), Day and one great-granddaughter, Mia Day of North Carolina. Deceased in addition to her parents are her husband William O. Day and one brother Earl Mason. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. at the time of service in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, with Rev. Jason Hefner officiating.
