Frank M. Kovacich, 82, of Deemston Boro, Fredericktown, PA, passed away, November 27, 2016 in his home. He was born in Hostetter, PA on October 16, 1934, a son of Stephen and Veronica Kovacich.

Frank was a member of Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic Church, Marianna, PA. He attended Latrobe High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 1952 serving during the Korean War. He had tours of duty in Korea, Japan, Hawaii and Midway. He was stationed in San Diego, California on an L.S.T.

Frank enjoyed gardening.

He is survived by his wife Lucille "Lu Lu" Kovacich; three sons Curt (Sherri) Kovacich of Thompson, Ohio; Michael (Amber) Kovacich of Hagerstown, MD, and David Kovacich of Fredericktown, PA. One grandson Shane Kovacich and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his five brothers, Joseph Mushnoch, George Mushnoch, Michael Mushnoch, John Mushnoch, and Tom Kovacich, and four sisters Ann Novak, Mary Burich, Catherine Cramer, and Elizabeth Baressi.

Friends and family will be received at Nichol Funeral Home, 1728 Main Street, Marianna, PA on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. Family and friends should meet at the funeral home in Marianna at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2016. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Mary and Ann Catholic Church, Marianna, PA with the Rev. Paul J. Grunebach officiating.. Interment will be at Horn Cemetery, Marianna, PA, Graveside military rites will be accorded by the American Legion, Post #744 of Marianna, PA.
