Obituary

Franklin Delano Williams 79 of Marianna died Tuesday March 13 2012 in Presbyterian senior Care Southmont. He was born November 7, 1932 a son of the late Charles C. and Wilkie C. Townsend Williams. He proudly served in Korea in the United states Army. He worked as a truck driver and warehouse man for Fairmont Supply for 45 years until his retirement in 1996. Mr. Williams enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking and chasing his grandkids around his farm. On July 3, 1953 in Marianna he married Opal Matthews who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years are 5 children Lou Ann (Mark) Keister of Washington, Gary (Amy) Williams of Chatman KS, Jerry Williams of Marianna, Helen (Keith) Baker of Washington, Robert Williams of Marianna, 7 grandchildren April Williams, Ashley Williams, Caleb Keister, Shane Williams, Kaylyn Baker, Amanda Keister, Reese Baker, 3 sisters Erma Stowinsky, Sheila Pallett, Linda (Larry) Bowman, brother Charles C. (Leah) Williams, 2 sister-in-laws Maude and Audrey Williams, as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased are 2 brothers John Rex Williams, and Denver G. Williams, 2 sisters Madeline Craig, Helen B. Saffle, and 3 brother-in-laws Larry stowinsky, Melvin Pallett, and Lawrence Craig. Family and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden street Washington where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery Additional information and guestbook may be viewed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com
