Helen L. Pencek 84 of Marianna died Wednesday March 26, 2014 in her home. She was born in Marianna on January 7, 1930 a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Harenchar Vargo. She attended Marianna Borough School. She was a homemaker, who loved to spend time with her family play BINGO, polka, bake, and cook. She was a member of St. Oliver Plunkett parish Sts Mary & Ann Roman Catholic Church. She was married to Edward Pencek before his passing on February 14, 1976. She is survived by three children Veronica and husband Jim Hutchinson of Marianna, Edward J. and wife Rebecca Pencek of Walton, Indiana, Steven A. and wife Stephenie of Cutler, Indiana, two sisters Rose Hartley of Belle Vernon, Katie Vargo Smalley of Marianna, Steve Vargo of Marianna, Fred Vargo of Kokomo, Indiana, eight grandchildren Rebecca Nicholson, Seth Pencek, Sarah Topper, Peyton Klinkhamer, Sydney Pencek, Sybyl Pencek, Garrott Klinkhamer, Nicholas Pencek, two great grandchildren Lorelai Nicholson and Kian Topper, as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a son Anthony M. Pencek, granddaughter Gretchen Hutchinson, two sisters Mary Hayges, Marge Potisek, six brothers Paul Vargo, Michael Vargo, Andrew Vargo, John Vargo, Richard Vargo, George Vargo, as well as several infant brother s and sisters. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 Main Street Marianna PA 15345. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday March 31, 2014 at in the St. Oliver Plunkett parish Sts Mary & Ann Roman Catholic Church, Marianna, with Father Paul Grunebach officiating.
