Janice "Fay" Scott, of Washington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Clyde and Inez Garner, and sister to Janet "Kay" Rogers (surviving), and half brother Donnie Hess (late), and aunt to Eric (Susan), Staci (Tim), Dayna (Doug), and Travis. Born on May 28, 1942, Fay later graduated from Trinity High School in 1961. She worked as a waitress right out of high school until taking a position as a cafeteria lady at Trinity for the remainder of her working career. In 1963, Fay married the love of her life, Jim Scott.
Following their marriage, Jim and Fay had four children, Marc Scott (late), Lisa Hicks (John Hicks), Sean Scott (Tracey Scott), and Aaron Scott (Beth Ann Scott). Fay was a devoted mother and grandmother, surviving are 9 grandchildren: Brittini (Ray), Alysha (Chris), Sean (Amanda), Samantha (Josh), Elijah (Kimber), Taylor, Hailey (Steven), Dominic (Shelby), Anthony, and 5 great-grandchildren: Judah, Mia, Owen, Liam, Lily, and Saylor. Fay and Jim founded the New Hope Youth Ministry team at Grace Bretheren which served the youth of the area in serving the Lord through song and puppet ministry. Fay served as a deaconess at Calvary Baptist Church, and assisted in the church nursery. She spent retirement focusing on her family and hobbies including gardening, baking, yearly vacations with her twin sister Kay, and her love of butterflies.
