Jean A. Medved 91 of Marianna died Friday October 27, 2017 in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling.  She was born August 16, 1926 in Marianna a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Serenta Fien.  She attended West Bethlehem Schools. She was a homemaker and worked at Hazlett's Dairy Bar in  Marianna.  She was a member of Sts. Mary and Ann Roman Catholic Church Saint Katherine Drexel Parish, where she was an Altar Society Member.  She  was also a member of American Legion Post 744  Ladies Auxilliary and Marianna Baseball Association.  On November 20, 1948 she married Rudolph "Rudy"  V.  Medved with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage before his passing on February 28, 1999.  She is survived by three sons Andrew M .Medved of Marianna, Rudolph J.  Medved (Nadine) of Washington, and James Medved (Christine Blaine) of  Washington, three grandchildren Michael Medved, Rudolph Medved  (Kimberly) and Natalie Medved, as well as several nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a sister Mary Lou Verna, and three brothers Robert  Fien, Dominic  Fien and Paul  Fien.  Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6 - 8 p.m. and Wednesday from  2-8 p.m. in the Nichol  Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Washington, PA.  Interment will be held in Horn Cemetery.
