Jean Stauffer, 83, of Marianna, PA died Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in the Donnell House, Washington, PA. She was born, May 18, 1931 in Scenery Hill, PA, the daughter of the late John and Daisy Barnhart Davis. Mrs. Stauffer was a graduate of West Beth High School. She later attended the Washington Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1974. She was a nurse at Washington Hospital for 10 years and an Industrial Nurse at Washington Steel for over ten years, prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Frist Christian Church in Marianna, serving as a Deaconess. She also was a member of "SOAR", Steelworkers Organization of Active Retirees, Chapter 15-20, District #10. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Post #744, Marianna. Mrs. Stauffer loved her pets, cooking, and traveling to the beach. Jean was married to the late Milford Stauffer, who died October 31, 1970. She is survived by four sons: John A. (Darlene) Stauffer, Marianna, PA; Terry (Cathy) Stauffer, Clarksville, PA; Randy (Lauren) Stauffer, Prosperity, PA; and, Ronald (Marcia) Stauffer, Marianna, PA; one brother, Ronald Davis, Elrama, PA, nine grandchildren, John, Jr., Michelle, Kristy, Nicole, Terri, Jennifer, Amanda, Ryan, Megan, and 11 great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received Friday, January 23, 2015 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Nichol Funeral Home, 1728 Main Street, Marianna, PA 15345, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015, with the Pastor Michael Teagarden officiating. Interment will follow in the Horn Cemetery, Marianna, PA. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Legion Women's Auxiliary, Post #744, Marianna, PA 15345.
