Jennifer Lynn Aurand Beattie 44 of Washington, formerly of Follansbee died Saturday December 6 2014 in her home. She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on July 28, 1970 a daughter of the late William F. Aurand Sr. and Dorothy Adele Aurand of Colliers, WV. She was a 1988 graduate of Camden County High School in Georgia. She worked at Getgo in Washington. Jennifer was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed singing, theatre, photography, cooking and baking. In February 2014 she married Charles H. Beattie of Washington. Surviving in addition to her husband are two children Samantha T. Alkire of Weirton, WV, Marcus G. Alkire of Follansbee, WV, three sisters Kathryn Kimball, Vanessa Bennington, Christine Tayman, three brothers Michael Aurand, Thomas Aurand, William Aurand Jr., sister in law Maggie Montgomery, and brother in law William Beattie, as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her father is a brother Andrew Aurand. A gathering of friends and family will be held at 10:00a.m. Thursday December 11, 2014 in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held by Pastor Donna Johnson, and Pastor Lawrence Kimball.
