Jerry L. Ashby 60 of Waynesburg died Sunday December 28, 2014 in UPMC Shadyside. He was born in Deep Valley PA on August 21, 1954 a son of Dwane E. and Gladys M. Warrick Ashby. He was a 1972 graduate of Trinity High School. He retired as a mechanic from RM manufacturing in 2012. He belonged to the Anawanna Club, enjoyed hunting, going to deep valley, fishing, mowing grass, drinking beer, spending time with his family and grandbabies, riding four wheelers, tractors, working on stuff in his garage, and his dogs He loved his jeep and to watch television, especially westerns, Yee haw, and Three Stooges. He shared 30 years of marriage with his wife Mary Ann Ashby, whom he married on November 24, 1984. Surviving in addition to his wife are his two children Jamilynn and husband Erik Calvert of Jefferson Dooders "Jared" and wife Dawn Ashby of Carmichaels, mother Galdys M. Ashby, brother Randy Ashby, twin brother Terry Ashby, sisters Deb Garner and Lana Kay Montgomery, all of Amity, four grandchildren Rhiley Ann, Digger, Ruger, and Hemi, as well as many nieces and nephews. Deceased is his father Duane E. Ashby. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 6-8p.m. and Wednesday from 4-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where funeral services will be held on Thursday January 1, 2015 at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Ten Mile.
