Joanna C. "Toots" Knizner, 91 of Marianna died Tuesday December 10, 2024 in Bridgeville Rehabilitation. She was born May 12, 1933 in Marianna, daughter of the late Mike and Anna Matsey Kacvinsky. She was a 1953 graduate of West Beth High School, where she served as class secretary. Joanna found that she loved taking care of others and went on to Nurse's Aide classes in 1976. She worked as a caregiver for many years. Another passion of hers was her faith. She was a member of North Ten Mile Baptist Church, where she proudly served as a deaconess for many years. She was part of the social committee, especially loving to cook for the ham and turkey dinners. She was also a dartball team member, enjoyed Bible Study, and helping with Vacation Bible School. Joanna loved to attend Randy Riggle's Comedy shows, going to dinner with her friends, and just being social. She enjoyed being dressed, matching her clothes and her jewelry, reading, and loved to cruise with her late husband. On July 11, 1953 she married Edward Knizner in the former Sts. Mary and Ann Roman Catholic Church, St. Oliver Plunkett Parish in Marianna. Together they shared 50 years of marriage and adventures before his passing on January 5, 2004. She is survived by three daughters Chris and late husband Walt Pfeiffer, Kim and husband Chuck Mansfield, Sandy and husband Don Harkus, five grandchildren Melissa(Arron) Rabar, Sarah (Rob) Hoy, T.R. (Steph) Mansfield, Mickey(Becky) Mansfield,Scott (Chelsea) Davis, 12 great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a sister Anna Chambers and a brother Mike Kacvinsky. Family and friends will be received Sunday from 1:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00-8:00P.M. as well as Monday from 12:00P.M.-1:00P.M in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where funeral services will be held on Monday December 16, 2024 at 1:00P.M. with Pastor Wes Kavanagh officiating.
