John Davis

John Curtis Davis, 38, of Canonsburg, PA, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in West Penn Hospital.

He was born in Waynesburg on July 28, 1979, a son of Carol Davis Jones and the late Richard J. Jones.

He was a graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School and the Culinary Institute of Pennsylvania.

He was employed as a chef at Texas Roadhouse and Outback Steakhouse both in Washington and the Overtime on the Mon in Fredericktown.

He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bentleyville.

Mr. Davis received the Governor's Award for Culinary Arts; cooked for Garth Brooks. He enjoyed video games and spending time with his family especially his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by 3 sisters Michele Davis, Canonsburg, CarMelitta Davis, Colorado, and Jennifer Jones, Pittsburgh and a brother James C. Davis, Colorado; two nieces, two nephews, one great niece and 4 great nephews.

Family and friends will be received Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301 where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 with the Rev. Layman Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery, Marianna, PA. An online guest book can be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com ..
