John "Norman" Shimrock 85 of Wickliffe, Ohio died Thursday February 19, 2015 in the Hospice of Western Reserve, Inc. , Cleveland. He was born in West Bethlehem Township on July 4, 1929 a son of the late Joseph and Mary Dragisic Shimrock. Mr. Shimrock was a retired Conductor/ Brakeman for the Pennsylvania Railroad (Penn Central/Conrail) He served in the United States Air Force from 1947-1951. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post #744 of Marianna. He is survived by a son John (Denise) Shimrock, daughter Mary Ann (Fred) Kuhar, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to his parents are his wife Shirley, wife Elizabeth, and twelve brothers and sisters. Family and friends will be received Friday from 3-7p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1728 Main Street Marianna, PA 15345 where funeral services will be held on Saturday February 28, 2015 at 11:00a.m. with Father Paul Grunebach officiating. Interment will follow in Horn Cemetery. Graveside military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #744 of Marianna.
