Josephine Garret McNurlen 88 of Scenery Hill died Tuesday August 23, 2011 in her home. She was born in Glendale WV on April 26, 1923. She was a 1940 graduate of Moundsville High School. She then went on to work at the Washington Hospital until 1964. She was catholic, and enjoyed shopping and living with her son in Scenery Hill. On she married John J. McNurlen who died January 1980. She is survived by one son John J. McNurlen of Scenery Hill, a sister mary Emerson of Lindsy, CA, 5 nephews David "Bud", William, Joe, Pete Garret, John Emerson, and 2 nieces Charlene Garret and Marie Pullman. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are an infant daughter, 3 brothers Bernie, Frances, and Charles Garret, and a sister Rita Garret.
