Joyce Mae Thropp 70 of Sycamore died Thursday August 8, 2013 in UPMC Shadyside. She was born on August 22, 1942 a daughter of the late James and Regina Bricker Kern. She was a 1960 graduate of Trinity High School. Mrs. Thropp was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching and feeding her birds, mowing her lawn, and socializing at the Anawanna Club. On November 12, 1960 she married William A. Thropp who is deceased. She is survived by a grandson Bob Von Scio and wife Sara of Washington, two great grandchildren Chaucer and Sebastian, a brother James and wife Nancy Kern, three sisters Jean and husband Leslie Black, Judy and husband John Rankin, and Jane Deemer and companion Francis Black, two sister in laws Carol Thropp, and Shirley and husband Joseph Polacek Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a daughter Dawn Von Scio.
