Kristin Elaine Svidro, 74 of Washington died Thursday October 24, 2024 in the Donnell House Washington.   She was born in Fountain Hill, PA on December 7, 1949, daughter of the late Thomas Christian and Muriel Elaine Hagenbuch Miller.  She was 1967 graduate of Wilson High School and then went on to earn her BS in Education from Slippery Rock State College.  She then went on to take many various post baccalaureate classes.   She worked in Suffolk County New York on Long Island for East Islip High School, and bookkeeper for the LaMont Restaurant in Pittsburgh for many years.  Kriss had a passion for the Girls Scouts of America, serving in all facets of the organization, even receiving the GSWPA Volunteer of the Year award and serving as Chairman of the Gold Award Committee for many years   She was also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting, and attending Pittsburgh Pirate games.

On September 7, 1974 in Wilson, PA she married Daniel Francis Svidro, with whom she has shared over 50 years of marriage.   Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter Katharine Svidro of Washington, son David and wife Jesse Putkoki of Bridgeville, and cousin Daniel Hagenbuch of Wichita, KS.  At the request of the deceased all arrangements are private and handled by Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington and memorial donations may be made to Girl Scouts of Western PA.   An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com
