Lauretta E. Green, 96 of Washington passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on Saturday March 30, 2024.  She was born in Upper St. Clair on March 19, 1928, a daughter of the late Alvie C. and Grace Heaps Emerick.  She attended Clifton school and graduated from Peters Township High School  She worked for Bell Telephone Company and loved to volunteer at Washington Christian Outreach.  She was a pillar of her church, Christian Bible Fellowship, where she was very involved.  She went to Bible study, was part of prayer groups, and would help in any way she could.  Lauretta's faith in Christ was the driving force that guided her throughout her life.  She was very well loved by her family, friends, colleagues and church family.  She valued her time with all of them from lunches with the ladies to family get togethers.  Lauretta was creative and liked to paint, garden, bake, cook, and read.  She also enjoyed traveling when she able.   On June 3, 1950 she married Donald Robert Green with whom she cherished 48 years of marriage before his passing in March 1998.  She is survived by four children; Daniel and wife Luanne Green, Randy Green, Ellen Gratz, Allen Green, daughter-in-law and caregiver Linda Shields, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, as well as a sister Jean Howard, brother Alvie "Spike"  Emerick, and several nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a brother Donald Emerick and a grandson.  Family and friends will be received Wednesday April 3, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in Christian Bible Fellowship 15 Middle Way Washington, PA 15301 where funeral services will be held on Thursday April 4, 2024 at 11:00a.m. with Pastor James Meyers officiating.  Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
