Lillian B. Flenniken Miller, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in Standish Personal Care Home, Amwell Township. She was born September 4, 1931, in Greene County, a daughter of the late Clarence and Sarah Burk Flenniken. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School. She worked at various jobs throughout her life. After high school, she worked as a clerk at a grocery store and pharmacy, at an airplane factory in Norwalk, Calif., as a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks in Washington and as an aide at Washington and Canonsburg hospitals, from where she retired. After her retirement, she worked as a personal caregiver at numerous families in the Washington area. Mrs. Miller was a member of Living Waters Church of God in Washington. She was a member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and was a Girl Scouts leader. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards and bingo. She loved her cat, JoJo. On May 15, 1950, in Winchester, Va., she married Harold Ray Miller, who passed December 16, 1997. They shared 47 years of marriage together. Surviving are two stepbrothers, Lawrence (Diane) Flenniken of Carmichaels and George Flenniken of Waynesburg; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Miller Daniels of Richeyville, Carole Miller of West Mifflin and Marlys Miller of Tennessee; a brother-in-law, Roy Miller of Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and her two caregivers, niece Michelle "Shelley" White of Marianna and best friend Mary Berry of Washington. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are two sons, Virgil Ray "Butch" Miller and Norman Wayne Miller, and two daughters, Lori Denise Miller and Mary Hope Miller. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18, with Pastor Michael Singo officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
