Obituary

Lucille M. Shaffer 86 of Ten Mile (Amity) died Friday February 28, 2014 in Presbyterian Senior Care-Southmont. She was born in West Virginia on November 11, 1927 daughter of the late Rev. William and Ella Martin Wagner. She attend #4 school in West Virginia. She was a homemaker and also worked at Phone Company in Baltimore, as well as an aide for Hopemont in West Virginia. She was a member of Pleasant Hills Prebyterian Church where she enjoyed helping with ladies aide especially for functions in Amity. She loved to bake, cook, and garden, but above all her family was her life. In Feb. 1947 she married Brown H. Shaffer Sr who died in Feb. 2008. She is survived by four children Judith Ann (Lee) Auvil of Tunnelton WV, Brown Harding "Dee" (Bonnie) Shaffer Jr.of Lone Pine, Allen James (Sheri) Shaffer of Ventura, California, Scott R. Shaffer of LaBelle, 10 grandchildren Chris, Carla, Benjamin, Rachel, Ashlee, Jennifer(fiancé Brad McClay), Scotty Jr., Shane Shaffer, Shawn Auvil, Michelle Auvil Morgan, five great grandchildren Cody, Trey, Logan, Alex, and Sammie. Deceased in addition to her husband of 49 years and parents are a son John Earl Shaffer who died in 1969. At the request of the deceased all services are private and being handled by Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington.
