Mabel Miller Bard, 90, of Hickory died Monday February 23, 2015 in her home. She was born in Amity on June 10, 1924 a daughter of David F. and Emma V. McAfee Miller. She was a 1942 graduate of Trinity High School. She worked at Western Center as a Housekeeper and at RCA before her retirement in 1989. She was a member of Amity Methodist Church. She was married in March 1947 to William J. Bard, who is deceased. Surviving are two children Rev. William J. (Lila) Bard of Washington, Diane L. (Anthony) Stankiewicz of Hickory, eight grandchildren Eric A. Bard, Trena Fredrickson, Rebecca Sharp, Melissa Caron Phillips, Glenn K. Bard, Kelly Stankiewicz, Anthony Stankiewicz, John Stankiewicz, eight great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her parents are two sons David Allen Bard and John Samuel Bard. Arrangements are being handled by the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
