Margaret Lois Conkle, 90, of Scenery Hill, PA, died Tuesday May 2, 2017.   She was born April 16, 1927, in Washington, PA, a daughter of Donald Elliott and Zelma Sowers Elliott. She was married to the late Mack Edward Conkle. She graduated from Trinity High School. She was employed by Ward Electric and Washington Lighting doing clerical work. Margaret was a Lifelong member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was Church Secretary for many years, and was a member of Welca. She enjoyed sewing and craft shows . Surviving are three sons, Edward ( Susan) D. Conkle of Washington, PA, Robert (Barbara)Conkle of Scenery Hill, PA Kenneth (Connie) Conkle, of Scenery Hill, PA and a daughter, Barbara Shackelford of Pewee Valley, KY., two brothers Richard (Bernice) Elliott, John (Arlene) Elliott, and a sister Ruth (Chuck Rhinehart) Swart. Nine grandchildren Gary (Elena) Conkle, Lisa (Jeff) Tegman, Jason (Rebecca) Conkle, Gina (Kevin) Leslie, Justin (Jackie) Conkle, Tara (Jake) Lawton, Kimberly (Paul) Brown, Jeffrey Conkle, and William (Krystle) Conkle. Twelve great grandchildren Peyton, Sadie, Joelie, Cooper, Reese, Levi, Oakley, Emery, Quinn, Mason, Ethan and Clayton and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her spouse is a sister Jean Guza.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA and from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. the time of service, Friday May 5, 2017, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Rev. Peter D. Asplin, officiating.   Interment in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery.
