Marian J. Edgar 80 of Washington passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday March 4, 2016 in her home. She was born on November 3, 1935 in South Strabane Township, a daughter of the late Harold and Agnes Carlton McBride. She attended Trinity High School. Marian worked for Bob Hollick Insurance agency for over 20 years as an insurance agent. She was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. She loved traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. On July 10, 1954 she married Clarence Robert "Bob"Edgar with whom she shared over 61 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters Robin K. Anglin of Angel Fire NM, Debbie S. (Robert) Link of Eighty Four, a son Robert Edgar of Long Beach, Ca, a brother David McBride of Washington, three granddaughters Kimberly Knox, Kristen Cunic, Kelly Martin, six great grandchildren Courtney Knox, Brianna Knox, Maddie Knox, Rebecca Knox, Trinity White, and Francis Cunic, seven nieces and nephews as well as several cousins. Deceased in addition to her parents are a brother Harold McBride and an infant sister Patricia McBride. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 6-8p.m. and Sunday from 2-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where funeral services will be held on Monday March 7, 2016 at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Gary Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery, Ruff Creek.
