Martha J. McAfee 75 of Washington died Friday September 15, 2023 in Washington Healthsystem, Washington.  She was born in Washington on January 23, 1948, daughter of the late Otis and Margaret Moore Friend.  Martha attended Trinity High School and spent her life as a homemaker and farmer.   She was a member of Highland Brethren Church.  Loved cooking, baking, her Grandchildren, collecting glassware, especially chickens, enjoyed feeding the birds, sitting on her porch, watching hummingbirds, and going for rides in the country.  On December 21, 1966 she married the late Kenneth Harvey McAfee.  She is survived by three sons KennethLee (Diane) Friend, Harvey S. "Scott" McAfee, Samuel Allen (Lori) McAfee, six grandchildren Kenneth Lee Friend Jr., Caleb Andrew Friend, Andrew Wallace McAfee, Jackson Paul McAfee, Christopher Lee Bird, Ashley Marie Sandoval, three great grandchildren  David "Reede"Harden, Leland Sandoval, and Remmi Sandoval as well as several nieces and nephews.   Deceased in addition to her husband are three sisters Dorothy Shargots, Virginia Clutter, Nellie Cox, three brothers Otis Friend, Roy McCarty, and David Friend.  Family and friends will be received Tuesday September 19, 2023 from 4-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington.   Private funeral services and burial will be held at Highland Brethren Cemetery.  An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com (http://www.nicholfuneralhome.com/)
