Mary Jane Whiteman 76 of the Grove, Washington died Saturday September 10, 2022.  She was born in Donegal Township on August 1, 1946 a daughter of the late William O. and Mary L. Bell Harris. She worked at Hills Department Store in Washington, as a laundry attendant at a Dry Cleaners and later at the Greenery.  On July 11, 1966 she married Walter "Bill" Whiteman with whom she shared 55 years of marriage before he died on May 9, 2022.  She is survived by five children Mona (Ruth) Morris, Robert (Tiffany) Whiteman, John Whiteman, Jill (Clyde) Shaver, and Jo Ann (Albert) Edwards, 12 grandchidren, and three great grandchildren as well as five sisters Shirley Powells, Ruth Ann Cox, Betty Phillips, Deloris Gentil, Linda Kinnin. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents is a brother William Harris.  Family and friends will be received in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington on Monday September 19, 2022 from 2-5p.m. the time of service officiated by Pastor Jeff Bender.
