Merle E. Jenkins, 70, of Amity, PA died December 6, 2015 in the Donnell House, Washington, PA. He
was born in Washington on July 16, 1945, a son of the late Clarence and Florence Thomas Jenkins. He attended Trinity High School. He was a construction laborer for A&L, McNellan, Ragner Benson Corp., G.F.S. and
Walbridge.
He was a bartender for Midway Lounge for 20 years.
He was an N.R.A. member, member of Moose lodge #461 of Waynesburg, Annawanna Club member of over 20 years, local construction union # 286 of Brownsville. He was a manager of Ten Mile Valley Softball league for 15 years from 1970-1985.
He shared over
48 years of marriage with his wife Barbara A. Donaldson Jenkins of Amity.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two brothers Glenn Jenkins of Amity, and Clarence W. "Duck" Jenkins of Amity, a sister Nora "sis" Edgar of Washington.
Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers Donald L. Jenkins, James R. Jenkins, three step-brothers Paul Spease, George Spease, and Charles Spease. Family and friends will be received Wednesday, December 9, 2015, from 10:00a.m-2:00p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Linda Mankey officiating Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
