Obituary

Devoted Church and Grange Member Nellie Hart Devore 91 of Amwell Twp died Tuesday May 7, 2013 in her home. She was born on June 7, 1921 in Amwell Twp on the family farm, a daughter of the late George and Bessie Fetherlin Hart. She was a 1938 graduate of Trinity High School. She was a homemaker and farmer at the Devore farm in Lone Pine. She was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Lutheran Evangelical Church in Glyde and a 75 year member of Chestnut Ridge Grange. She was a devoted, loving grandmother, who loved being around family and working on the family farm. She also enjoyed her garden, baking, canning, and taking care of her flower beds. In November 1945 she married Russell Forrest Devore who is deceased. She is survived by two sons Donald C. Devore of Washington, William R.(Becky) Devore of Washington, sister Margaret "Peg" Wilson, Grandchildren Kristina N. (Douglas) Hancock, Matthew R. Devore, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are son Richard F . Devore, brothers Roy Hart, George Hart, William Hart, sisters Olive Mowl, Anna Ames, Dorothy "Dot" Ulery, Gladys Phillips, Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 6-8p.m and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington and Friday May 10, 2013 from 10:00-11:00a.m the time of funeral services in the Bethlehem Lutheran Evangelical Church Glyde with Pastor Peter D. Asplin officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran church cemetery. The family suggest memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Building Fund 21 Church Road Scenery Hill Pa 15360
