Nellie Niverth, 96, of Jefferson, PA, died Thursday, February 2, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1920, a daughter of the late Kuzma and Martha Glubosky Boiaroff. In 1948 she married Martin A. Niverth who died in 2008. She graduated from West Beth High School. She was a steelworker at Detroit Steel during WWII and owned and operated along with her husband Niverth's Grocery store in Marianna from 1950 to 1962. From 1965 to 1976 she and her husband operated the Stoney Point Inn. She was a member of St. Nicholas Old Believers Russian Church in Marianna; was a USWA member and a member of the Washington Grocer's Association. She loved trout fishing with a fly rod.
She is survived by two sons Gregory A. (Mary Lou) Niverth of Jefferson, PA and Martin A. Niverth, Jr. of Alabama. Also surviving are a sister Feodora Stoskel and brother Harry Boiaroff both of Marianna, PA and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are her husband, two brothers Wasil and Michael and four sisters Mary, Kayka, Kathrine and Priscilla
Family and friends will be received Monday, February 6, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. the time of service in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1728 Main Street, Marianna, PA.
