Norman John Franell Sr., 79 of Scenery Hill died Thursday, January 02, 2025 in UPMC Washington Hospital.  He was born in Allegheny County on November 09, 1945. A son of the late Norman Wesley Franell and Ann Gshinsky Snyder.  He was a proud marine, serving from 1963-1967 in Vietnam, earning a Vietnam Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.   He loved to sing, especially karaoke.    On February 22, 1969 he married the love of his life Linda (Weaver) Franell with whom he shared 52 years of marriage before her passing in December 2021.  He is survived by two sons David (Annette) Franell of Scenery Hill, Norman (Heather) Franell Jr. of Ellsworth, daughter Nikki (Elmer)Ritter of Scenery Hill, a brother Michael 'Buck' Franell of Pittsburgh, sister Nancy Zubovic, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.  Deceased in addition to his late wife and parents is a sister Darlene Nadzam.  At the request of the deceased there will be no services.  An online guestbook may be signed at www.nicholfuneralhome.com
