Opal M. Driehorst 85 of Washington died Friday August 22, 2014 in Southmont. She was born in Washington on June 15, 1929 a daughter of Harrison and Mamie Adams Porter. She was a Baptist and worked as an Avon representative for40 years. On October 5, 1947 she married James K. Driehorst with whom she has shared over 66 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to her husband are five children Mary (Guy) Stanton of Grantsville, MD, Crista (Thomas) Bayersdorfer of Nashville, TN, Timothy (Lugene) Driehorst of Newark, DE, Amy (William) Driehorst Watt of Monroeville, Jeffrey Driehorst of Boulder Co., five grandchildren Robert Downton, Stacy Fuentes, Amy Long, Lorelle Collins, Kathy Elliott, two great grandchildren. Deceased in addition to her parents are two sisters Geraldine Zimmerman, Betty Antanovich, and two brothers Charles and Tom Porter. Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday August 27, 2014 at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
