Randy J. Gilpin 54 died Wednesday May 1, 2024 in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born in Washington on October 15, 1969, a son of Ken Gilpin Sr. and the late JoAnn Dulaney Gilpin. He was a 1987 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School. He then went on to proudly serve with the United States Marines as a combat photographer. After being honorably discharged he worked as a leadman for Ingram Barge Line for 19 years. He also enjoyed football and was a Junior Varsity Football Coach for Beth Center. Randy adored time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed shooting guns with his brother when he was able, loved his H2, Hummer, and was a "character" making cherished memories with his family and many friends. Surviving in addition to his Father are four siblings Ken Jr. (Theresa) Gilpin, Wendy Davis, MaryLou Gilpin, Terry Gilpin, eight nieces and nephews, Leann (Kevin) Rakes, Dalton (Emily) Gilpin, Victoria (Kurtis) Martin, Grace Gilpin, Austin Hemelrick, Harley Hemelrick, Stephen Robey, Haley Davis, as well as several great nephews. Deceased in addition to his Mother are sister Kelly Hemelrick and brother-in-law Chuck Hemelrick.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. in the Nichol Funeral Home 1873 East Maiden Street Washington, where additional visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11a.m-2:00p.m., the time of service. Burial will be held privately at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 744 of Marianna.
