Richard Edgar Altland Jr., 55, of Marianna, PA, passed away suddenly on May 6th,2023.

Rich "Big Dog" was born on July 4th ,1967 to Late Richard and Nancy Altland in Spring Grove, PA. After Rich Attended Spring Grove high school, he held several different jobs, He finally followed his dream of being a truck driver, Received his training thru Gainey Transportation. Rich drove for RH Crawford Inc. and found a home at Coyle Transport Services for over 10 years.

Rich met his Late wife Karen in 2010, the love of his life, they married, and he moved to Marianna, PA, even though their time together was short, they enjoyed the country life, travel, friends and family.

Rich shared his home with his daughter Brittany Altland and her boyfriend Andrew Schreffer.

Rich spent his time working on the farm, wood working, Cruising, riding Harley, and spending time with his daughter Brit.

Rich enjoyed his trucker buddies, exchanging stories and humor on American highways, Rich was a free spirit with a funny personality, He could be found talking hours with his friends, LJ, Erik, Jason just to mention a few fellow drivers, among his many trucker friends.

Rich is survived by 3 Sisters, Roschelle and husband Randal Ritz, Corinna and husband Alan Smith, and Abigail and husband Michael Gable. Rich has 2 stepchildren Aaron and Chastity Uttley, 6 nephews and 3 great nephews and a great niece.

Services will be held at Nichol Funeral Home- Details not available. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Convoy for Wishes(Make a Wish), an organization where truck drivers raise money to grant Wishes for special Children with disabilities.
